Our Ministries
The BLD Seattle community currently has three active ministries:

Singles Ministry (for 20+ year old unmarried individuals with no children)

Couples Ministry (for married couples)

Solo Parents Ministry (for single/widowed/divorced parents of any age)
Each of our ministries are called together as one people through a movement of encounter and a process of renewal in building our relationship of faith, hope, and love with God and others. Contact us to learn more.
Praise & Worship
In a monthly service we call Praise & Worship, the community gathers together to come into His presence and receive the power of the His Spirit. The Praise Team, coordinated by the Music Leader and in accord with the Worship Leader, ministers to the entire community, enabling all to fully participate in the expressions of praise through music and song.

Singles Praise & Worship is held on the third Friday of every month, and Corporate Praise & Worship (meaning the whole community) is held on the fourth Friday of every month. See our Events page for upcoming Praise & Worships.
Encounters
The BLD-Seattle District was blessed by the Archdiocese of Seattle to conduct Marriage Encounters, Solo-Parents Encounters, Singles Encounters, and Youth Encounters. The Encounters are weekend retreats of spiritual renewal, conducted in an atmosphere of prayerful reflection.
The ultimate goal of any spiritual encounter is a conversion of heart, a renewal of mind, and a transformation of life, our encounters are open to Roman Catholics, Christians, and all nationalities.

Our next Youth Encounter for ages 13-19 is on August 16-18, 2024, and our next Singles Encounter for 20+ y/o unmarried individuals is on September 6-8, 2024. Our next Marriage Encounter will be next summer 2025. Click below for more information on YE and SE.
Life in the Spirit Seminar
The Bukas-Loob Sa Diyos LSS is an adaptation of the original Life in the Spirit Seminars developed by the Word of God Community in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Among the revisions BLD introduced is the pre-seminar shepherding concept, which is unique and specific to its experience. Although LSS covers a period of seven weeks, which correspond to the seven topics, the Community presents all seven talks during the actual seminar weekend.
